Nuvon EditLab
Cut directly in the cloud with the applications you already know. No downloads. No syncing. Just editing.
Introducing Nuvon EditLab — high-performance macOS editing stations, physically connected to your cloud storage with 10Gbps speed. Access them from anywhere and work as if you’re sitting in the edit suite.
Work where the media lives. Not where you happen to be.
Traditional remote editing relies on one awkward assumption: that everyone should pull the media down to their own computer. Nuvon flips this around. Your media stays in the cloud, on fast, centralized storage. You simply log in to a dedicated macOS workstation, already wired into your project.
Nuvon EditLab gives your team access to high-performance macOS edit stations that sit directly next to your cloud storage — wired at 10Gbps for realtime editorial and finishing work. You log in remotely from anywhere, but the workstation stays in Nuvon’s data center, directly plugged into the media.
This is not virtualization.
These aren’t virtual machines. They’re real, powerful hardware — Mac workstations with Apple Silicon CPUs, connected directly to Nuvon Storage over 10Gbps. It means online and offline work is immediate, responsive, and consistent for everyone on the team.
Whether you’re cutting documentaries, commercials, or long-form series, Nuvon EditLab gives you a studio-grade environment without the overhead of maintaining a studio. Your team logs in through Jump Desktop or Parsec, edits on managed systems, and exports directly back to your storage. We can even enforce watermarking and session control for extra security.
Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, and Premiere Pro run exactly as they should — fast, stable, and right next to your media. No proxies unless you want them. No local exports. No sync issues. Just editing.
It’s everything you get from a physical post facility, but globally accessible and infinitely scalable.
Multiple editors see the same media at the same moment. Your workflow becomes clean instead of chaotic.
Security and control, baked in
Every session can be watermarked. Every login can be audited. You decide who gets access, when, and for how long.
Because editing on managed hardware means complete control over your media environment — no more “Who downloaded what? Where did it go?” mysteries.
Nuvon storage is always encrypted at rest and during traffic. Your media, always protected.
Access globally. Cut like you’re in the same room.
Nuvon EditLab workstations are accessible through Jump Desktop or Parsec. Both give you low-latency access, color fidelity, and input precision high enough for finishing work.
It feels like walking into the edit suite — even if the suite is on another continent.
If you work with 3 monitors, you will have 3 monitors from Nuvon EditLab.

FAQ
Are these virtual machines?
No. Every EditLab station is a physical macOS machine. You get dedicated hardware, predictable performance, and zero virtualization overhead.
Do I need to download my media?
Not at all. Your media stays in your Nuvon cloud storage. The station is plugged into it with 10Gbps. You simply remote in.
Which editing applications are supported?
Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro. Bring your own license — the machine is yours to configure during your reservation. We offer free configuration for editing needs. We can setup your Avid with Bin Locking.
Can I export directly to the cloud storage?
Yes, and that’s the whole point. Your export lands instantly on Nuvon storage, ready for review, delivery, or conform.
How good is the remote connection?
Jump Desktop and Parsec both provide low-latency sessions with accurate color and great responsiveness. It feels like a local machine. The connection options are:
Good - 4:2:0 8bit
High - 4:4:4 8bit
Pro - 4:2:0 10bit
Ultra - 4:4:4 10bit
We recommend always accessing while connected to wired internet for the best experience and latency. Connections to Nuvon EditLab can take up to 60Mbps per computer.
Is my session secure?
Every login is authenticated and logged. Every session can be dynamically watermarked. Traffic is encrypted end-to-end.
Do you offer Windows or Linux machines?
The primary focus is macOS for editorial workflows. If needed, Windows or Linux workstations can be added for VFX or transcoding tasks.
Can multiple editors access the same machine?
One at a time, unless you’re using Team Pods where you manage your own pool.
Do you provide assistance setting up Avid projects or workflow design?
Yes. Nuvon can help configure Avid shared projects, bin structures, and cloud workflows.
